The VSBA Insurance Services Programs offer loss control and behavioral based safety programs that are unlike any other.  In fact, VSBA is one of only two programs in the country that offer this type of safety training.  We provide our Members with simple, yet effective, common sense awareness and skills to observe and manage the kinds of attitudes and behaviors that can cause injury to any employee or loss of property.

Ultimately, the goal of our Program is to help each school division protect the lives and well-being of its employees.  We accomplish this by teaching our members techniques to observe their own safety attitudes, thinking and behaviors.  We help people learn how to identify and heed early warning signs which could lead to an accident. We heighten the awareness of attitudes, beliefs and values that can lead to behavior change. this change in attitude must precede the change in behavior. We increase the level of "Ownership" or responsibility for safety. This is a key to influencing safe individual actions. Finally, we understand that employees need to be helped to recognize what is at stake for themselves, their families, their co-workers and their employer.
