VSBA publications are designed to provide useful, accurate
information to school board members and superintendents on a regular
basis. Through such publications, VSBA members enhance their
professional development by becoming increasingly knowledgeable about
the complex issues related to school governance. Regular publications include: VSBA Newsletter: This publication is issued ten times per year to provide current information regarding VSBA activities, boardmanship tips, key issues, and educational resources. It is sent to each school board member, superintendent, and important educational decision makers. Legislative Alert: VSBA members are kept informed of pending legislation throughout the General Assembly session via this publication. Weekly issues communicate the status of important bills and, if necessary, special editions alert members to take action through immediate contact with legislators. Policy Page: This publication is distributed periodically to policy services subscribers, offering a preview of legislation or court cases that may directly affect school policy. |
