Description:

Greene County Technical Education Center’s Nurse Aide Program is a CTE sequence, consisting of three years of study (Introduction to Health and Medical Sciences, Nurse Aide I, and Nurse Aide II). The introduction course introduces students to the healthcare field. The subsequent years prepare students for employment as a certified nurse aide. The program is very successful due in large part to the structure of the program. The instructor, Mrs. Harlow, thoroughly prepares students for jobs immediately upon graduation or to further their education. Her organizational skills set her apart from many other instructors in her field. Mrs. Harlow is the VA Health and Medical Sciences Educators Association, Region V Director. The strategically selected clinical experiences that are offered to students completely prepare them for the State Board Exam and successful careers. The program saw a 100% pass rate for the 2014 – 2015 school year and almost every year.
