Hanover County Public Schools held an Education Expo at two high schools during the fall of 2015. The Expos were attended by approximately 1,500 students and parents and provided the HCPS community with opportunities to learn more about the seven programs offered at The Hanover Center for Trades and Technology, the five Health and Medical Pathways at the redesigned HHS Specialty Center, the Advance College Academy (Associates Degree) partnership with Reynolds Community College, and the International Baccalaureate options at each high school. The Expos featured an opening session, informational booths, and breakout sessions for each program area. Dinner was provide to facilitate the needs of families and their schedules. The Expos were planned by a team of school, division, and Reynolds Community College educators and were advertised using a variety of methods, including the web site, social media, local news media, e-mail messages, and posters in schools.
