BCPS schools are fully accredited

All schools in Bedford County Public Schools (BCPS) are fully accredited, according to data released by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). Earlier this month, BCPS projected it would earn full accreditation based on internal reports and testing data. The state's data confirmed this projection.

Nelson County High School FFA gearing up for Drive Your Tractor to School Day

LOVINGSTON, Va. (WDBJ) - Traffic in Lovingston will make way for a parade of tractors Monday. The Nelson County High School FFA will hold its annual Drive Your Tractor to School Day. Alumni and students will drive their tractors down Route 29 in a police-escorted parade.

Hurley High closed for repairs; classes relocated

Hurley High School students are moving back where they began their education - at the combined elementary/middle school in the remote community in Buchanan County, Virginia. This move on Monday comes after a mysterious fire erupted in the ceiling of the 53-year-old Hurley High School around noon on Tuesday.

CCPS reports that 100% of schools are accredited - Chesterfield Observer

The Virginia Department of Education announced on Sept. 22 that every Chesterfield County school is accredited for the 2022-23 school year. Chesterfield County Public Schools reported this is the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic that Virginia has used Standards of Learning pass rates to assess school accreditation.
