Students explore aviation maintenance trade through use of donated airplane at Unity Reed H.S.

Just four miles from Manassas Regional Airport, the busiest General Aviation airport in Virginia, students at Unity Reed High School in Prince William County are learning the aviation maintenance trade courtesy of a donated aircraft to the school.

Amplification of student voice is one of the key high yield strategies in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) Educational Equity Plan. To better foster an environment through which authentic conversations can be held, the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has established the TIDE coalition. In this webinar learn how TIDE (Togetherness through Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) is a community of practice comprised of VBCPS staff and select high school students in grades 9-12.
