Gregory Strickland is a School Board Member for Louisa County representing the Patrick Henry District. He is a graduate of Suffolk High School (1983), earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William & Mary in 1987, and a Master of Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU) in 1990.

Mr. Strickland has been re-elected to the Louisa County School Board in 2009, 2013, 2017, 2021, and 2025, and has served as Chair since 2010. During the August 2011 5.8 magnitude earthquake, he led the reconstruction of more than 40 percent of district school facilities, saving Louisa County taxpayers over $60 million.

His focus has remained on ensuring every student is career ready, military ready, or college ready, and prepared to become successful, kind, and contributing citizens.
