Joyce Watkins is a results-driven leader and community advocate with a distinguished career in healthcare sales strategy, broker engagement, and operational excellence. As Director of Sales Strategy and Support at Elevance Health, she leads initiatives that drive efficiency, enhance multicultural outreach, and strengthen the organization’s connection to the communities it serves. Her leadership has consistently delivered measurable results, improving team performance, reducing costs, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Joyce’s work reflects a deep and consistent dedication to serving vulnerable populations — from supporting Medicare beneficiaries through improved access and experience, to championing children’s success through her community leadership. She is currently serving her third term on the Roanoke City School Board, where she has dedicated more than six years to advancing equitable education, student success, and responsible governance. Recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club, Joyce continues her lifelong commitment to improving opportunities for young people and families.
