Dr. Melissa Saunders was appointed as the next superintendent of Manassas Park City Schools at tonight’s school board meeting.
She’ll start her new job on July 1. She comes from neighboring Manassas, where, since 2016, she has worked as the executive director of student achievement for Manassas City Public Schools.
Saunders has 28 years of experience working in public education. She’s worked as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and director of curriculum and instruction in Loudoun County and in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
