VSBA President Dr. Cardell Patillo to Visit Charlottesville City School Board on the President’s Roadshow

Charlottesville, VA – Dr. Cardell Patillo, President of the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA), is continuing the VSBA President’s Roadshow on, February 1, 2024, with a visit to the Charlottesville City Public Schools’ (CCPS) school board meeting. The meeting will be held at Booker T. Reaves Media Center in Charlottesville High School and will serve as a platform for Dr. Patillo to articulate, on behalf of the VSBA, steadfast support for the committed school board members in their contributions to public education.

It is the hope that Dr. Patillo’s presence underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between the VSBA and local school boards. The visit will serve as an opportunity to convey appreciation at the start of School Board Appreciation month which is held annually in February. During the meeting, Dr. Patillo will commend the hard work and dedication of the CCPS’s board members, acknowledging their critical role in shaping the future of education in their community.

“I am grateful to have the opportunity to visit with the Charlottesville City School Board and express my appreciation for their commitment to public education,” remarked Dr. Patillo. “As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of education, it’s crucial to recognize the hard work and commitment of our school board members. I am also thankful to kick off School Board Appreciation Month with a visit to express my gratitude.”

This will be the second visit on the VSBA President’s Roadshow. Virginia school boards are encouraged to contact VSBA to be considered for a stop on the Roadshow.
